Don O'Shall and his small group of professional security instructors have been holding courses for Locksmithing Associations, the Door and Hardware Institute, the All-Lock Automotive Service Institute and various wholesale distributors since the early 1970's. Don also was licensed to teach and taught for, the New York School of Locksmithing and Alarms and the National School of Locksmithing and Alarms in Chicago, where as Senior Locksmithing Instructor, he also helped redesign the course curriculum and syllabi to continue to meet NATTS approval and improve job placement. With the advent of Locksmith Licensing and Continuing Education Requirements, it became necessary to formalize the education being provided by that small group, as well as to expand the course offerings and add instructors. Our CEO, Don O'Shall, and our new Chief Operations Officer, John Truempy will help you select and schedule appropriate course offerings and provide instructors and materials to teach them. Not all courses nor all instructors are always available, so scheduling is vital. Books offered by Lounging Lizard Publishing are the basis of many of the courses, and can be purchased at wholesale to be provided to all class attendees for these courses if requested. This typically reduces the amount of necessary note taking and increases hands-on time. We have been approved for courses (as well as instructor approvals) in New Jersey and Alabama, and have approval pending in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, and Oklahoma currently. Other states will follow. We meet the most stringent of requirements in all cases. Currently none of our courses is offered online or in CD form. That may change in the future. The first two States to require Continuing Trade Education for License Maintenance did not permit it, but several States since have not made the distinction.
