Billy B. Edwards Jr has held the title of Key Records Manager for ASSA inc., Arrow Lock, the Medeco Security Lock Company, Yale Security Lock Company, Master Lock Company and the American Lock Company.

He was in charge of R&D on Medeco's Biaxial product, designed and implemented the Quick Key marketing unit, was in charge of Yale's automatic milling, bitting and assembly project, and holds several patents for locking devices.

He was a founding member of the National Task Group for Certified Training and the Lock Industry Standards (LIST) Council.

Billy has taught classes in keying and master keying for many associations all across the country, and is noted for his books and expertise on master keying. He is considered the "father" of the modern Matrix Method.
