Dean Nickel, CJIL, CPL

Dean has frequently been an assistant instructor for the Associated Locksmiths Of America (ALOA) national convention, as well as a primary instructor for wholesaler and trade associations, particularly in the Northwest. He is an avid lock collector and an active member of the Institutional Locksmiths Association.

Dean has over 20 Years as a Locksmith, 10 of that in a Trauma One Center dealing with JACHO and DOH requirements. He has spent over 15 years as an Instructor in the locksmith industry teaching at conferences, specializing in Lock Servicing, Master key systems, Key control systems, Electronic locking hardware and Automatic Door Operators.

He has maintained and made changes to lock system of a major University campus, instituting a key control plan for the campus and setting the installation schedule for their key control system. He has laid out and implemented the plans for maintaining detention hardware for an institution. He modified an 8710 & 16000 hardware specification for a campus for all door hardware used in their construction and renovation projects.
